DERMA E Review

Thank you DERMA E for gifting me the set of wonderful facial care products! DERMA E is one of the largest natural facial care brands in the USA and also a trusted brand when it comes to clean beauty.

You might have heard this word “clean beauty” from a lot of skincare companies, but do you know what clean beauty is? Clean beauty in the definition of DERMA E is “Clean beauty is part of a lifestyle that is mindful of what we put in our bodies and how we impact our environment”. Clean beauty can help you feel and look great without harming your skin, hair, body, and most importantly your sense of ethics and your planet.

I’ve tried all of the facial care products I received from DERMA E. It took me a while to try all of them before I write an honest review about them. Let’s start with the one I love the most!

Hydrating Cloud Cleanser: This is 5 stars cleanser for me. It helps hydrating, sulfate-free foaming that helps removes makeup (I wash it twice for the makeup), impurities, and excess oil without your face feeling dry. It leaves my skin soft and hydrated which is the great preparation for my next skincare routine steps. When your skin is clean, it helps absorbing serum and moisturizer faster. Most importantly, it didn’t cause me any breakout!

CBD Relief Set: According to https://www.health.harvard.edu. CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of the hundreds), by itself it does not cause a “high.” For skin, CBD has been shown to relieve common skin issues by reducing inflammation and boosting nutrients. Benefits to the skin also include powerful antioxidants, improved sleep, and anti-inflammatory agents that can help treat conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, as well as reduce acne.

Now, you know what CBD is and why it is good for the skin, let’s talk about the CBD relief set. These products have no scent and fragrance-free and they make me feel like I’m using clean product ingredients!

Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Cleanser: The cleaner cleans out impurities but it doesn’t remove the makeup well. It doesn’t give you the bubble or foam because it is sulfate-free but the cream cleanser helps your skin feeling ultra-moisturized without over-drying. Some people don’t like using sulfate-free cleansers because they think without lather, it doesn’t leave their skin feel clean. But trust me this cleanser doesn’t make you feel that way.
Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Moisturizer: It helps deeply moisturize. It absorbs fast into the skin and doesn’t leave the oily feeling. The cream looks thick but after applying, I feel it’s light and matte. Applying the makeup afterward and don’t have to worry about shiny or oily skin throughout the day.
Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Serum: The serum itself doesn’t look or feel like any serum I’ve tried before. It’s like lotion to me and it also absorbs fast into the skin. I don’t see much effect on this serum but it also doesn’t cause me any skin breakout. It helps improve overall skin health.

This is my first time trying CBD skincare, I try to see if it helps me calm or relief or not? I still scream at my kids though (joking!!!). I don’t feel the calming effect but I feel my skin tighter after the use of all three together. ?

Essentials Universal Cleansing Balm: I love the lovely fruity smell of this balm. It leaves your skin hydrated. I feel it’s a little oily to my face that I have to use cleanser again to remove the oil but if you have dry skin, it will help to hydrate it for sure! I like how it helps remove the makeup but for eyes, you might have to spend a little time massaging it.

Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel: If you love orange/citrus, you have to try this! This facial peel is a Non-abrasive blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids that helps to resurface and smooth skin’s texture to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I always love AHA and exfoliated my skin but you have to be careful with this ingredient not to use it too often especially if you have sensitive skin. DERMA E recommends you use it once a week Apply to the face, neck, and tops of hands and leave on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse it with cold water to neutralize the peel. After using it, I felt my skin tingling a bit but I also got a breakout the next day which could be happened when your skin has been exfoliated.

Lemongrass & Thyme Lotion: It helps to nourish and energize the skin’s natural moisture barrier. This lightweight, fast-absorbing lotion is enriched with Shea Butter to help moisturize and recondition dull, dry skin.
